I read through every HID article, and couldn't find a write-up on how to install this type of HID. I recently Purchased HID hi/lo kit from HALOAutomotive.com. It was supposedly Plug and Play. but i plugged everything in, pretty much idiot proof. and the ballast's wouldn't even turn on. So i swapped the male prongs from the hid harness around and reconnected it to the factor 3 prong harness, and the hid's work. But... When i select high beam, the lights flicker out. i think they are on high when i have my lights selected in low. i have no grounds running or any relays. just beefed up fuses in the stock fuse slots. Is there anyone out there with a tech write-up, or can tell me how to wire these correctly. its an 04 taco. with H4's haloauto kit. Thanks in advance guys.

No expert here, but you might want to run a seperatre wire from the battery to the HID's. They sell a harness that will go from the battery to the ballasts and include the relay. I would not use the factory wires asit was not designed for a HID ballast.

Like I said, no expert just have some posts about HIDS.

You never want to change the fuses to a higher amperage... Your truck is gonna get lit up.

Well, the directions say to switch to a 20amp fuse for each light instead of 10, cause it won't run good off 10. should i switch back? thanks for the input.

Put back to stock fuses. Get a harness if you're worried that it will fail on you.

Relay harness. So that it draws power directly from the battery.
