Anyone rebuild the front center sec.

After I seeing oil from the center section Axle seal driver side I grabbed the axle shaft and there was a lot of play. I bought a new section on scam bay ad installed it. After the first few seconds in 4x4 it was clear that the gear ratio was different!! Long story short I ended up taking it in shorts. So now I am looking to rebuild my old one and looking for info? Please no I knew a guy that's or it might be!! Solid info only I don't care about eBay stories it just pisses me off every time I think of it! I just want to get the front rebuilt. Thank You

Maybe this is where your axle play was? This may not be you exact problem but it never hurts to have as much information as possible.

 

Thank you that was the issue!! I installed a travel kit on the truck and then noticed after the other front end had play but not quite as much still bites!! Now i am not sure what I want to do next. The ARB is still only a bandade. I tore the old center section apart tonight I might just do a lot of fab work! I will keep everyone posted o what happens.
