Rust Proofing the Frame

    After recently getting my truck and falling deeply in love with it, I want to protect it for as long as possible. Ive heard of people having issues with a rusting frame and was wondering if you guys think I should do the same?

    Some background info: I live in SoCal so theres no salt on the roads. I hit the trails about once a month.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    You should be fine with just an occasional "spot check". Every oil change, give the frame a good once over to indetify any spots that are rusting. Address those spots accordingly. Then after a year of doing this, see if you have spots that you have had to address repeatedly. If so, then I would think about doing the entire frame.
