so I haven't owned a Tacoma in a quite few years now and just started looking for another one, what I've been finding is a lot of Toyota's with v6 that need head gaskets .. is there a reason for that? should I stay away from the v6? ( v6 owner's please tell me if I'm wrong) the flip side is I can buy one cheap when they need the work and I know my Tacoma would have lasted for year if not for the frame .. wished they were replacing them back then!!

My '05 with v6just developed the head gasket issue. Had cells with P0306 code indicating #6 misfire. Ran rough on startup then smoothed out. Found coolant level low. Taking it to shop Monday. Toyota wanted $3013.00 to rpl both gaskets.
