so my toytec shocks had been adjusted too high for the past couple months and i don't think my truck was enjoying it much. i just got to removing them last night..(long story..) I also removed the boot around the inner tie rod to see if there had been any damage (passenger side) and when i took it off a bunch of power steering fluid dripped out. the driver side seemed fine though (that side wasn't adjusted too high for very long) also i could see some movement on the bushing on the rack itself, not much but i didn't think there was supposed to be any movement. I can't move the rack with my hands but i can definitely feel it move sometimes when I'm leaving a parking spot.

    here are some pics:

here is a pic of where i think i can see the rack has moved

here is where the power steering fluid was leaking from (id say about 1/4- 1/2 a cup of fluid came out when i took boot off)

another bushing on the bottom of the rack that doesn't really look right?

Is my steering rack messed up? or should i not worry about it?

    Thanks.

after looking at a comment from a different post about a similar issue i think the whole rack needs to be replaced.. damn.. oh well.

I guess the next question is where should i get a new steering rack from?
