Steel Rims and spacer question

OME 881's, Dakaars, Leer Topper, and a wish list.

I would like steel rims for my 03' DC. The only steel rim that i am aware of that has no rubbing issues are Wheelers. Problem cost of shipping.
Possible solution: buy Pro-Comp wheels w 4.25 BS and 1/4 inch spacers. Problem solved? My thought is the spacer should allow the break caliper to clear. Yes? This would be equivalent of 4.0 BS wheel I would think or the old Wheelers type B's.
Other considerations?
