i recently bought my new truck, 01 4x4 extended cab, one issue when i bought it was that the passenger tail light was busted, so i have new replacement tail lights now but am wanting to put in LED bulbs out back for more light out put compared to a halogen bulb.

where is a good place to get these bulbs? will i need to add resistors inline with the new LEDs?

im mainly wanting the reverse lights/parking lights to be as bright as possible as i have a camper shell on, and the truck windows and shell windows are tinted.

    Check out superbrightleds.com.
Don't go cheap though. Some of those leds are dim as shit.

Shouldn't need resistors unless you are using them for turn signals as well. in that case, cheaper and easier to get an electronic flasher. I believe they have them too, or your local auto parts store. Auto parts strores also have led bulbs now. Pricier, but may be worth it so you can return them more easily if you don't like them. I have some pretty nice led reverse 'projector' style lights. Pretty bright. Got them on eBay. I can do some searching later and give more suggestions on what types if no one else chimes in.

I went ahead and bought some lumen brand reverse Led bulbs. Rated at 400 lumens, will post some photos once they get here.
