My 2006 2.7 tacoma idles very low when the temp outside os cold. Done it off and on last winter then idled perfect all summer now starting to get low again since its gotten cold. Any ideas? Never stalls but acts like it wants to

Might be an issue with the temp sensor. Or the tps, I think the 06 has fly by wire throttle. If you can get your codes read that might point you in the right direction.

Does it idle right after it warms up or all the time when its cold outside?

Starts fine, No codes, not dying, and goes on command, I would not worry about it as it is saving you a lot of gas.

No codes are showing. It starts and idles fine, but once it warms up the idle will drop to around 3-400. If we have a warm day, its fine, just something about cold weather

Possible the fuel air ratio is mixed up cause thicker air when cold. So what would that be o2 sensor maybe? I dunno it's not rough idle so don't worry about it

My 13 V6 does this too even after warm up, long drives.
Get to a stop light & sounds like it barely running, hovers around .5 rpm

I also have weird noise that sounds like a faint popping/clicking on acceleration from a stop light.
Applying the gas gingerly it really ramps up until around 30-35 mph it goes away.
Only when extremely cold (10F or below) which has been that last 6-8 weeks.
If I let it warm up for a long time it isn't pronounced.
The dealer said it was nothing. :notsure:
I have brought it to the dealer a couple of times each of the 2 winters.
It has done it since new.
    Truck now has 36500 miles.
I didn't know if it was an exhaust leak or a crack somewhere.
