My check engine light came on, tested it and it said loose gas cap, and/or faulty cat converter. I'm going to try and buy a new gas cap, but I honestly think its my cat. My truck is a 2001 and its still stock but I have a flow master American thunder series exhaust. Anyways I was wondering what path i should take? Aftermarket catalytic converter? Cut out stock and go straight pipe? With a tune up? If so what kind of tune up? And also what's the best aftermarket cat for my truck? Any info on what to do will be appreciated.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I bet it's the gas cap.

    Why do you think that?
