The same shit everyone else has.
Recently my truck developed a weird clunk/bang/thump which feels like it coming from the driver side front wheel well.

It almost feels like the strut is bottoming out when you hit a bump. You can feel it in the floor pan, almost like its coming from right in front of the pedals.

I didnt notice this until yesterday driving to work. Its been ice cold here for almost 2 months now. And the night before, I was out in a pretty good snow storm driving in 4wd and it wasnt making this noise/thump.

I stopped at the car wash after work today and sprayed out the wheel wells and sprayed off as much as I could under the truck. The thump seems to have gone away after spraying everything off. I didnt hear it the rest of the ride home.

If I recall correctly, there was a thread on here a while back which described similar issues which I believe were caused by the build up of ice and snow either in the wheel wells or between the fender liners and body.

I searched around for this thread, but being tire, I couldnt find it. If anyone remembers this thread and could direct me towards it, it would be awesome.

    Thanks

Good news is thats all it was. Nothing sounded/felt like it was broken on the way to work.

Still interested in finding that thread to see if anyone found a simple solution for this issue

That's your steering stop thing. It's a piece of metal on the bottom of the spindle, it looks like a Y. At full lock it hits the rca, then you will hear it grind and rub metal on metal
