    Howdy, guys -

I need some thoughts here. I've been out of the truck buying/selling market for a few years. This truck has belonged to a 93 year old family friend and I'm now getting ready to sell it for his wife, who is in need of money for his care.

This is a 2005 PreRunner TRD Off Road, V6, auto trans, diff lock, 51,000 miles (yes, fifty one thousand miles), with new Michelins. Superb condition, always serviced, totally clean. I think the only 2 additions are the rock rails and a factory bed mat. She's going to expect too much money for it I think.

What do you guys think I can realistically get for her? (location: Seattle area) It seems like kind of a weird combination to me... a PreRunner, but Off Road. Don't know how popular it might be. Here's what it looks like:

Truck looks good but this thread doesn't belong in the "Suspension" section.

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
I'd say aim for $18-19k. Low miles, excellent condition, it always surprises me how high these sell for. I'd say minimum $15k.

It's all good. That's a clean truck. First place I would go is carmax, they are a joke but they give you $X,XXX dollars for it on the spot. Start there to get your rock bottom dollar on it.

The only thing that's really holding it back is that it's not a 4x4. I think she'd get high teens for it.

If she's got service records, dig them up. A low miles excellent condition truck owned by an older person is great all on its own, but having the paperwork to show the maintenance is even better.

I always thought is was ironic that you could get a 2WD Tacoma with the TRD Off Road package as well.

haha its good advice but you are right about the rock bottom price. As others have said kbb would be a good place to go.

We'll check KBB for sure. Thanks for the ideas, guys. This would be a great commuter truck for someone. I bet she's got all the maintenance records too.

Carmax is hit or miss. They gave me 2K more than Toyota (multiple dealerships) would for my trade when I got my Tacoma
