So im looking to get my 05 AC 2.7L up about 1.5" and i wanted to see what some other people have done and get some advice here, since most of the lifts in the suspension threads are 6cyl.

Im looking at 5100s all around for sure and not sure if i want to pair them with the stiffer 1.6" eibachs or the softer OME 883s.

For the back my stock 2/1 leafs are pretty beat (flat at best) so i was thinking of a new 3/1 pack from general spring or the 3 leaf AAL from wheelers.

What are other people running for a small lift/level on a 2.7L? also are people using a driver side spacer to correct lean? i haven't noticed it stock

I have the eibachs with 5100s set at 0. They are not stiff at all and give a great ride. Maybe the greater spring rate is a problem with the 5100s set at at .85 but not at 0. Also, I don't know about your year model, but the weight difference between the 4 and 6 cylinder of the current trucks isn't enough to matter.

    Are you 4x4 or 4x2?

Weight matters quite a bit. I have 5100s at .85 setting with my stock SR5 progressive coils, and have 1.5" of lift. I have 2" in the rear, with a Wheeler's 3 leaf progressive AAL.

Pic after install of rear AALs.

Bilstein's measurements are approximate, you can get more lift from them depending on your configuration (or less, too, I suppose) just like you can with regular lift coils. Because I'm 4x2 and have a 2.7, I have a lighter front end and got more lift than the estimated .85.

Not unusual, just not many with my configuration so it's not all over the forums. Tires in those pics are 265/75/16s, FWIW.

Its an 05. Did you use a spacer in the drivers side and wut did you do for the rear?

4x4 SR5. how did you get 1.5" out at the .85" setting and did you have a 3/1 or 2/1 stock leaf pack?

See above for 1.5 lift from .85 preload.

I have a 2+1 OEM leaf pack, and pic shows OEM pack with 3 leaf Wheeler's installed. I kept the OEM overload spring in place, and got 2" of lift in the rear. 5100 shocks in rear also.

I'm planning on getting the Fox 2.0 coil overs for mine and setting them at 1" lift. The front kit is $800 on ToyTec's website. For the rear I'm not going to do anything other than install the Fox shocks. I figure if I want to raise it a bit later I can get some 1" shackles or maybe an add a leaf kit. Mine is going on a new 2015 2.7 4x4.

In your case with sacked out rear leafs I'd probably just replace them rather than go with an add a leaf.

I did not use the spacer because all I read was how stiff the eibach springs were. If they are that stiff, they should need the spacer. Well, turns out they are not too stiff after all and I will probably end up adding the spacer. I used the wheeler 3 leaf AAL. With a leer shell the rear is one inch higher than the front.

Seems like you'd be nose high with a load in the bed, no?

The AALs are progressive and already loaded from the weight of the shell. I currently have 4 wheels and tires in the back for traction and it's still a bit higher in the back.

I know, I have the same. I was just curious if you carried enough weight in the back that you might want to keep that 1" of rake, I was nose high for several months, about an inch.. and it sucked.

Yeah. The one inch higher is with the shell, so it's probably 1.5 inches or more without. The springs just don't seem to compress much with adding 200lbs in the bed. I've yet to put a heavy load but don't usually have more than 300lbs in it.

My biggest load since installing the 3 leaf ended up riding in my cab since it was raining, so I'm not sure how much improvement I've gotten over the OEM pack.

But, so far I'm very happy with the Wheeler's 3 leaf AAL.

I'm happy so far, but wonder if I should have got the HD. I have the factory 2 leaf and it handles bumps much better with the AAL. I'm just wondering how it will be in a year with the constant weight of the shell. I didn't get the HD because I was worried it wouldn't flex enough off road.

You left the factory overload spring in, right?

I didn't because I wanted to see how much flex I could get and how much lift I got without them. I will probably put them back on if the AALs settle any more. They've only been on a month.

Moose1988 ran his 3 leaf without the overload in and within a year needed to replace the leaf pack, suggested I left mine in with OEM leafs, or upgrade to a full leaf pack.

Thanks for the info guys looks like im gonna go eibachs and the wheeler pack. I figure since my leafs are basically flat my truck should be dead on level if i leave in the overload leaf.
