    Daystar...I know they don't offer much for our Tacomas other than poly spacer lifts and some nifty accessories, but I recently had a great experience with them (specifically Mike Bell) and wanted to give some props.

    About 1.5 year ago, when I replaced my hidden winch with the ARB, I had to switch to a roller fairlead (or pay too much for a offset hawse, which would also create more extreme line angles). I bought a nice roller from fellow member DDD and decided to get add Daystar Delrin rollers for my synthetic line. I know you can use metal rollers with synthetic with no issues - as long as it has no burrs or been used with wire, but I wanted to try out the Delrin...and the black would complement the bumper. :cool:

    All worked great, and I have used the rollers probably 6-7 times since installing them with no issues. After our summer trip to Naches, I had used the winch twice for self-recovery, and simple straight pulls. I noticed a few weeks ago that one of the side-rollers had a nice gouge, maybe 1.5" long, around the circumference in the middle. Maybe it was stress damage from the rope? Rock Damage? Manuf. Defect/Flaw? :notsure:

    I sent a friendly email to Daystar explaining the damage and asked what the warranty is or how to get a replacement roller. I received a response the next day from Mike Bell. He was eager to help, and after a BS'ing back and forth about trucks and SAR, he said he was sending a replacement set of rollers and some other Daystar goodies. Sweet deal, thanks Mike!

    I got another email from him last week saying he sent a package out, and the rollers would be shipping in a few days...I received a package packed with some badass Daystar swag!!! some "official" Daystar Zip-ties, a dozen or so stickers, a giant banner, a hi-lift handle isolator, and some catalogs. I wanted to reciprocate the gesture, so I sent him a TRD Skull shirt (even though I think he's a Jeep guy and didn't want to admit it :p).

    Anyway, I should get the rollers in a few days, but I wanted to give some recognition to Mike and Daystar for keeping it real and taking care of their customers. I know you can buy their products through some TacomaWorld vendors (Wheeler's, Avid, Marlin, SDHQ, RuffStuff to name a few). They seem like a great company that stands behind their product! :thumbsup:
