he claimed he wasnt drunk lol...story copied

BOSTON —The driver who survived a startling crash that saw his car launch from the upper deck of Interstate 93 through a light pole, an exit sign and a fence before landing on the lower deck of the highway below denies that he was driving drunk.

Vannak Sao, 33, of East Boston, said he had a little bit to drink and was tired from working the third shift at his job and making extra money shoveling snow.
"I was drinking earlier. I have nothing to hide. I had a few drinks that night in combination with everything else, that definitely didn't help," he said.
The 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven by Sao fell from the northbound side of the highway to the southbound side below.
The fall was captured by MassDOT surveillance cameras. (Watch the video)
"I'm just glad I didn't hurt anybody else," said Sao, who had a cut above his eye.
Records released by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles show Sao has a lengthy history of driving infractions, including at least five speeding violations in the last 15 years. After Sunday's crash, his license was revoked.
"I am trying not to watch the video, but I am checking it out and it's kind of crazy," Sao said. "I feel idiotic a little bit, that's how I feel."
Sao, who was charged by Massachusetts State police with drunken driving, had to be extricated from the truck by Boston and Somerville firefighters.
The truck severely damaged the light pole, the sign indicating the exit to Route 1 north, its post and six lengths of chain link fence.
