So i recently picked up a 2002 Toyota Tacoma extra cab locally after deciding that a Jeep wasn't practically while I attend college. This is my 3rd 1st gen tacoma! Some say I'm crazy but there is just something awesome about a toyota. I've never had any big problems with my toyotas in the past.

This is my daily driver, college commuter, and rig I take on logging roads when I go camping or on adventures. Someday I hope it transforms into more of an expedition type rig.

Specs of the truck when i got it:

    UPDATES:

Bed before line-x (like new). I went to the junkyard and picked up a new tailgate piece with no dents because the one on the truck was a little wavy. Cost me $5 for the new one and it took me awhile to finally find a straight one in the junkyard. It was off a white truck but i didnt care because i knew the line-x was going to cover it anyways.

    image34_1c4883695fc0af18b07ca8f327734a71672f9b61.jpg

Bed after line-x:My buddies stepdad owns the local line-x shop so he hooked me up with a new bedliner. It turned out great.

    image33_9d9b1cd82cc13db7d36652dfdc17feda7cb17720.jpg

Bed Mat: I went to the local farm store and bought 6.5' of 3/8" rubber mat. It was a little spendy but i wanted to protect the line-x from chipping. Plus it smooths out the ribs of the bed and is easier on my knees. I cut it to find the bed.

    NEW TIRES AND WHEELS!!

Americas tire recently had a sale of the decade. $400 in rebates! The timing on this rebate couldn't have been better for me.

thanks. im going to be very careful with this truck, i can already tell black is hard to keep clean and shows everything. I actually plan on keeping this truck for a long time, unlike the past. I don't think this truck is going to see nearly the amount of offroad adventures as my past rigs. I don't think this truck will ever look like this haha

Well I had them on my first truck and they rode great. Made me buy another set of the exact same! I have yet to put them on my black truck. Putting them on this Friday

well it might depend on what suspension you are running. The 265 duratracs are a 6 ply and with the OME lift it rides great. The 285 duratracs I had on my white truck were 10 plys and a bit heavier and stiffer. And you could tell.

I'm just running 5100s currently and getting all new rear suspension soon so it's most likely going to ride rough at the moment.

265/76/16 duratracs shouldnt be too much different that your stock tires and wheels. 10 ply is when you really notice a difference.I'm putting them on Friday and will comment back on how different they ride from my stock setup now (currently not lifted).

Got the new tires and wheels on the truck today and put the canopy back on. These tires ride amazing compared to the bald Toyo AT's i had on there before. Very quiet and smooth. Very pleased with my choice, I'd buy them again for sure. I will post pictures tomorrow:D

New Tires and Wheels Mounted! : Got my tires and wheels mounted on the truck and put the canopy back on. She's looking good! Also got the Lift ordered and on its way.

I haven't painted them yet. I did quickly wipe them clean. I plan on painting the rear hubs or putting the caps on. I want to trim the caps but don't know how to securely mount the trimmed cap. Also they are plastic caps, my last set were metal

I am! That's crazy. I'm in college so it sits most of the time and I hardly drive it in corvallis. Where did you see it?
