My 2004 DC check engine light comes on every 2-3 weeks. Both O2 sensors were replaced with OEM last summer. No CEL for 4 months. Then 2 months ago it started this routine. Code P0136 rear O2 comes up, I clear the code and it's good for 2-3 weeks and then comes back on. No clue on this one and really don't want to take it to the dealer. Thanks

No rattle in the cat. Smells like rotten eggs when you reach a top of a steep hill though.

often with these "ghost" codes, its just a bad plug connection so disconnect the plug and put some dielectric grease in it then plug and unplug it a few times then after that you should have no more codes.

sometimes when we replace the sensors we don't notice the little rubber seal falls out and it lets moisture in that causes bad connections or the seal might just be old, either way the grease cures it.
