To be fair, this isn't actually my maiden post. That can be located here:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-tacomas/364310-chronicles-high-idle-post-tune-up.html

I've been a lurker for a while. I have a T4R so this site, yotatech, and toyota-4runner.org have been lifesavers over the past few years. I finally picked up the little beauty below after some beleaguered craigslisting and a last minute all night drive.

01 5spd 5VZ-FE TRD X-cab 234,xxx virtually rust free, a tough combo to find in the south for under $7K!

Anyway, I'm in the process of getting all of my maintenance up-to-date as I am wont to do on a newly purchased vehicle w/ basically no records. I've always driven GM trucks and had no real complaints, but the little 4Runner impressed me so here I am.

Mod's will stay mild if any. I'd love some tundra brakes and an OME suspension eventually, but we'll see what funds will allow. Truck will remain stock height or within 2".

I really appreciate the altruistic contributions that those before me have made on this forum and those like it. I hope I can help some of you out eventually too!
