Hey guys. I'm not sure how I feel about the new tails I have. I was thinking about tinting my stock ones but didn't want to get a ticket so I bought some black LED ones. I think maybe if I tint my third brake light that it will look better. What about you guys?

Looks good, but I'm not a fan of the guards.

Can't decide if I am or not yet. They were free so I put them on just to see. I painted them with matte clear coat and like them a little bit more. The gloss black looked really bad with all the matte accents on the truck.

I like the black/smoke tail lights. Tail lights guards ... not so much.

I like the lights. Agree the cab light might look better matching.

Don't care for the guards or the 'Tacoma' on the gate.

Don't care for the shackles mounted on the bumper for street driving. I prefer them stowed with the strap for use when needed. Plus, looks like someone could liberate them by hand?

Just my opinion of course. Proceed at will!

You're welcome. Also, there is a TW member who makes vinyle "TRD" 3rd brake light covers that look pretty good.

The shackles actually rusted on :( I've been trying to get them off but I figure whatever since I can't get them off with tools, somebody else will have some difficulty getting them off.

I left Tacoma on the gate because I left the side badges on. I took all the V6/SR5/Toyota noise off vices I thought it looked really clustered and ugly.

I'll probably ditch the guards soon enough. Everything I get for free I generally put on and give myself a week to decide if I like it or not. Worst case is somebody driving by goes "Oh I don't like those guards." Haha

Thanks for the opinions though! I'm loving the lights. I'm looking to tint that 3rd light though.

Oh that sounds pretty sweet. Not to mention easier than tinting. I never have time to do things with paint because I live near the ocean. I go to school until night, then it is way too moist outside to paint anything. The struggle is real.

    Just a few LEDs...
They really look like they belong on your truck. They match the black bumper, wheels etc., and look way better than the "classic" tail lights or the chrome OEM LED tail lights.

Tint the third brake light, I think it would look cleaner.

Thanks! I really like them! The stock ones are way too red.
