    Hey y'all,

I'm gonna be lifting my 08 Tacoma this summer. I have no experience with lifting a truck, so I'm gonna need some of your guys' help. In terms of lift, here's what I'm looking for:

-I want my Tacoma to be lifted 3-6 inches. I'd prefer a 3 inch suspension lift so that I don't have to do a differential drop. 6 inches is on the very upper side of what I want.

-I want it to cost under $900. I don't know exactly how doable that is, as it seems that a lot of lift kits are upwards of $1000.

-NO SPACER LIFTS. I off road in my Tacoma and I wanna be able to keep functionality with my new lift. I'm not gonna sacrifice off road capability for looks.

-Although I do want something cheaper, I still want something that's good quality.

With all that being said, could you point me in the right direction as to what kind of lift kit I should get? Also, with whatever lift kit you point me to, could you also provide a tire size that would work best with it? Thanks all.

If you are wanting to keep a budget minded suspension set-up under $900 I would look into some Bilstein 5100's. Or save up a little longer to get some 2.5" body shocks and uniball upper arms. Bilstein shocks will get you to 2.5" of lift. Anything higher will need uniball upper control arms.

For your price range bilsteins is probably the way to go. But for just a bit more you could get a full OME setup.
