Sorry I had actually just went back and realized that. I was looking at a set like those at one point as well. Saw them with a gloss black powdercoat and thought they looked pretty damn nice!

Ya, I found one set of 4 for $75 that are rough and a little far and a local set of 5 - decent condition- with bald tires for $200. I just can't decide.

I did pick up the black rims today. 5 rims and mostly bald tires for $180. The other ones are a bit far but if they are still available I would probably check them out.

What are you gonna wrap them in? Your current tires or going new?

Probably just what I have now. If I waited for the BFG KO2s that I will get then they wouldn't be installed for a long time.

Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to finding some time to swap the tires around. I needed to rotate them anyways.

Just ordered some hood strut parts. I definitely enjoy the small projects. They are way easier to handle.

So tried to do a bunch of research about the pressure required to lift our hood but could find very little information about it. People just say to get the redline hood lifts.

I finally found some website that said that the 4runner replacement struts were rated at 80 psi. I ordered some rated at 100 psi because I wanted them to be a little over pressured. I installed one side only to find that the 100 was more than necessary to keep the hood up with extra pressure.

It was about $40 for the struts and strut mounts so I'm not too worried about it.

I also installed a hidden antenna since my snorkel took the place of the antenna mount.

Ya, I installed the passenger side with the intentions of installing the driver side but the one has more than enough pressure to hold it up with plenty of resistance.

I am definitely happy with it and my wife is happy that it isn't gaudy like some other ones. I need to fix the one way valve since I didn't adhere it well enough. I haven't really had a chance to use it yet either.

I received my TREDs (but I haven't mounted them yet) and just ordered Weathertech floor mats for my truck and my wife's SUV that she will be getting soon.

How's the hood handling that? No risk of damage to the hood having that resistance just on one side?
