You'd be better off with a regular suspension lift

I think body lifts are ugly and dangerous. I've seen some cabs of trucks with body lifts severely distorted from rear and side impacts (I'm a fireman) and after seeing that I would never body lift my trucks...ever. Maybe he installed incorrectly or whatever, you're basically putting your trucks cab up on pucks instead of mounting it straight to the frame. Go with a suspension lift brother. Sometimes its worth it to spend the extra money.

1" or 1.5" tops. They do have their value but a 3" is sketchy IMO. I have had a few on various trucks of all sizes and 1" seems to be about right. It makes working on the engine and trans a little easier and gives a bit to help clear tires, while still maintaining a safe ride.

hfd, cabs aren't mounted to the frames anyway. They are mounted to the brackets that are welded to the frame. The problem is when you put those long pucks and long bolts in there the more leverage body roll puts on them and the body can contort just from playing (I'm a wheeler) without any impact at all.
