Frame Rust on newer Tacomas?

    Are the trucks built after 2010 any better coated on the underside? I saw complaints online about '05-'09 being years where something apparently wasn't up to par.

    In other words, I live in the south and we get occasional snow and ice so they use salt and sand on the roads. Usually within a week we're back in the 50s temps and then rain washes it all away.

    Rustproofing down here doesn't happen. We don't use Fluid Film or CorrosionX.

    Did Toyota fix something on Tacoma after 2010 to make the underside any better protected? Should I be concerned about driving when there's salt on the roads?
