I have a white 2010 Tacoma with TRD and SR5 4 x 4 four door double cab with 11,800 miles on it. No accidents. Clean Car Fax. The paint is perfect no chips, nicks, blemishes or scratches. The interior is as new condition. Mechanically perfect drives like new. I have all the oil change receipts. I am thinking if selling it. KBB is very confusing. The truck would classify as excellent condition and KBB says it's worth $32,323 excellent condition, Very good $31,738, Good $31,108 and fair condition $30,052. Edmunds says it's worth in excellent condition $27,773 Dealer Retail and $25,902 private party sale.
On dealers lots on Auto Trader and other sites it is selling for $29,500
Some dealers are giving a warranty but it's a Toyota with 11,800 miles so it is practically new and not even broken in yet.
There is a $6,421 difference between KBB and Edmunds.
Does anyone on the forum know what this is really worth?
Thanks in Advance for helping me out.

If its selling for 29,500 then it seems edmunds is more accurate. I would guess you could sell it for around 26500.

I'd go with Edmunds. It might only have 12k miles, but it's 5 years old. Brand new trucks with the same specs are only a few thousand more than what KBB is stating, if that. I think when I bought my 2013 for an SR5 DCSB 4x4 was somewhere in the 30k ballpark.

But, it's worth what someone will pay. I would personally be surprised if it sold for that much. If someone really wants a 2010 though, that's probably the best truck they'll find.

Just my opinion but those prices seem a little high. You can buy a new 2015 equipped just like yours for only a few thousand more. My 2015 Sport was $31,000 tax, title and tags out the door.

Here are two facts. My 2010 Rock Warrior Tundra got me $25000 on a trade for my New Tacoma mentioned above. But that was a Tundra.

My buddies 2010 Tacoma Sport in very similar condition to yours only netted him $19000 on a trade. He traded on a new Colorado.....not really comparing apples to apples. They sold his Taco the next day for close to $23000. Three Toyota dealers were only offering him $20000 on a trade before he decided on the Colorado instead of a New Taco.

Not trying to be a wise guy, just offering up some information. Obviously selling your truck private is the best solution but then you will lose out on any sales tax advantage with a trade.

Just goes to show you, the KKB and edmunds of the world are practically worthless.

Should only be used to ballpark value, as they're all completely generic internet value estimators and have zero to do with the actual vehicle being estimated, which has a million variables that would add or lose value.

Just noticed the name change, Gabe. :anonymous:

FWIW, my neighbor's Tundy TRD has SR5 badges on the rear of the cab. :notsure:

Pretty sure up until 2012 all TRD Tacomas also had SR5 badging... I know my '09 did.

    Way to ninja edit. :quickdraw:

Could very well be a TRD, with an SR5 badge, they do exist. Not all TRDs have JBL and nav, anyway, right?

In my opinion, private party value is gonna be in the mid-high 20's. At least in my area.
