Did you do the mod for the air scoop or was it available as an option?

Interesting. I guess you can't believe everything you hear. I was in the market for a CAI or short ram when I first got my truck. The guy at the shop said there isn't much benefit changing the airbox, it's basically a cold air intake stock. Thanks for the info.

It's only designed for the volant cai. I made it fit using electrical pvc coupling size 2.5" I used a 3 1/4" hole saw to drill the hole. It's a tight fit (that's what she said :D) All the credit goes to a great guy by the user name: Murderface on www.xr-underground.com

I'm here for knowledge folks, please feel free to inform me. Expedition Essentials Track Mount Weather Tech floor liners and window vents K&N air filter Summit Dakars in Matte Bronze -25 offset King suspension from Filthy Motorsports MESO customs white/red interior lights and MESO customs gasshole
So it seems as though the AFE was the general consensus and then Lurkin came in and totally stirred the pot. Now I'm back to square one, as far as not really knowing which to go with... Since gains are minimal either way and one person mentioned having issues in rain with the URD, I guess AFE is safest. The calibrator sounds nifty to get some extra power but Toyotas are known for being long lasting and I'm sure the way the manufacture designed the engine with the rich gas/air mixture is for the purpose of making sure the engine will last for ever, so I'm not real sure I want to mess with that. Power is cool but getting 300,000 miles on my truck is my goal. AFE it is. now to save some money up for it.... $433.00?!?! anyone know of a cheaper price anywhere? besides this one: http://afepower.com/shop/details_ne...odel=Tacoma&year=2008&engine=4.0L&&brandID=56
