Curious if anyone makes rubber mud flaps for second gens. The stock hard plastic ones rub on everything

They are shorter than stock so don't hit as many obstacles. When I put on my new tires 275/70/17 the rubbed on the inboard edges so I trimmed about 1 3/4 inches off. They mount exactly like the factory ones. Very easy.

X2! I love mine. They stick out a little further and provide better side protection. Plus they don't rub the paint off like the stockers.

Which are these? I just started a construction job and need a pair. Can these go on both front and rear tires?

Weathertech - you, can get front and rear - select that truck is 4wd in their website menu to get the option to buy the fronts or both. I just ordered a set of 4 - will update with pics and if trimming was required for my front wheels and tires (265/70R17 on 17x8 with 0 offset)

Finally got around to installing the Weathertech mud flaps that I bought last year. There was alot of trimming needed to clear my 265/70R17 tires on 17x8 with 0 offset. Before I put the mud flaps on, I had to trim the inside edge of the stock fender flare just behind the front tire - the tire would rub there with the wheel turned and going over a bump. That gave me a pretty good indication of where to start trimming mud flaps. Here was the first try. Installed it but it was not even close to enough clearance as you can see the rub marks to the left of the opening from just a short test in my driveway. IMG_9341.jpg
Long story short. Here are pics of the final cuts that I made to stop the rubbing. Got it down the this...
    IMG_9344.jpg
And even that was not quite enough, so I cut the upper portion of the inside edge of the mud flap off after it was mounted - cut it at an angle so it is full width at the bottom.

Overall, I am happy with the Weathertechs - no rubbing and should keep the truck a bit cleaner...
