I start to wonder if it's the area. Every time in the past when I've gone to car buy, there is some Clear Lake dealer that just turns into the proverbial dealer and I walk out.

I think much of the industry is like that now. At BMW Momentum SW the tech who was repairing a bad window regulator on my Z4 dinged it. When I went to pick up the car I showed the service advisor the ding and stated "that wasn't there."

She took it to the back, where the tech said "I didn't do that, it must have been there when we took the car in and you didn't see it."

She relayed that to me and was apologetic...then I simply said "If it was there when I brought it in then the ding would be a dimple in, not a dimple out from something hitting the inside of the panel."

She looked at me like I just blew her fkn mind as her eyes and mouth opened and her head tilted a bit; then said "You'er absolutley correct."

That's what I have, although it has yet to be connected. The reviews on it were pretty good. I got mine on sale at Fry's and paid close to that.

I wanted the Cobra 29LX, but for occassional use I decided that the a more compact and affordable unit would be best. I can use the savings in at least 1 skidplate.
