Slip/miss at ±2750 in all gears. Help?

My 2.7 5-speed has consistently had this problem since I bought it recently. Replaced plugs/wires/dist cap, no change. Haven't cleaned fuel injectors yet.

It's pretty much always at ±2750 rpm. It seems to be worse when the powertrain is under more strain (for the poets) but it will also do it in 5th on the interstate.

I'm considering that it is in the transmission linkage as well, only because I am not getting the feel like I would with a misfire.

Only other thing I can think of is maybe some issue with the ECU control of the VVT because it happens at such a specific rpm range.

What do you guys think?
