Brakes were the only gripe I had in my 05 Sport. Replaced with EBC rotors and pads long ago. Problem solved.

I love my simple, basic '14 Tacoma. it brakes/rides/handles like a truck...which is what I like about it.:)

I did upgrade my brakes on my 2009 for towing...more peace of mind from better pedal feel. Around 20K miles, OEM Bilstein's and Bridgestone's made for a terrible ride and handling feel so I put a set of 5100's and Michelin LTX M/S 2 tires on and never looked back. Mine does everything I ask of it and all I need it to do. And besides, IT'S A TRUCK!

Car and Driver rates the most popular truck in the world as poor? Think about it.

4.88, Radflo 2.5" Resi,ARB Front Bumper with fogs, TJM 9,000 synthetic rope winch with Pro-Link, AllPro Bolt on Sliders with fill plates, Asfir Aluminum Front Skid, Mid Skid, Gas Skid, Transfer Skid, AllPro Shackle flip kit with Timbern, CBI HC rear Bumper, Rigid Mesh Grill with 20" LED bar, White Sport Grill Opening, ARB Dual Compressors and 2 gallons of air tanks for air tools, Dakar Leaf Pack+2,front sway bar delete, Camburg UCA's, Stainless Steel Brake Lines on all wheels fixed mushy brakes, UltraGuage
2012 TRD off road that I bought needed Stainless Steel Brake line which firmed up the pedal. the 2012 already had larger calipers than the 2005 which people put Tundra calipers because they were so under braked. (i'm really picky about braking performance from my track days)

The TRD off Road suspension sucked! 300 lb motorcycle flattened my 2 leaf springs in back, Toyota can be protested for TSB for 3rd leaf, but why bother it will break in 20k miles anyway. Did a full 2.5" Radflo setup with Dakar leafs and now my truck rides like a dream off road and on road with control and comfort.

Toyota has been milking the Tacoma for too long other manufactures are improving and challenging now.
Why does my Tacoma still have Drum rear brakes?
Why do I have the same AC controls as my 1993 Toyota??
How about climate control with numbers like 72 degrees and forget about it?

might as well wait for the 2016 but don't expect radical changes... and expect to change suspension on them also.
