I have not seen a almost 4 mpg drop with these tires compared to the lighter stock tire. Are you guys accounting for the fact that the truck still thinks it has the stock tire size and not picking up as many miles on the odometer? I'm going to order the hypertech speedometer calibrator, because I don't like that it isn't picking up the miles accurately. I know the speedometer is now dead on, but I'd rather have the odometer be correct, and know that I'm going a little slower than the speedometer says.

The difference in your odo is not that much where it will affect it to that extend. Go from a 60ish pound rotational mass to a 90ish rotational mass, there is a major difference. If I remember right running my 275/70/17s my odo is off by like 5% which is only 5 miles in every hundred or roughly 15 miles off in a tank if you run it close to empty with what most people get of roughly 300 a tank.

I just went and did my math again and wow! I made the easiest mistake. I've been thinking that my odometer is more off than it is. I'm getting pretty crappy mileage then. I like the way the tire has been handling the snow here, but it's not worth that big of a mpg loss.

With my 265/75/16 I barely got 150 miles on a half tank and with the 265/70/16 I easily get 200 miles when my tank is half.

Lol with my 265/70/17 E Rated Nitto Trail Grapplers I get about 250 per tank, kinda depressing haha, I'll be getting a C Rated Tire next time, wish Nitto made the trail grappler in other load ranges besides E

Had a similar MPG drop when I switched to the BFG's in load range D on my previous Nissan Pathfinder. Lost a solid 2 to 2.5 MPGs. They are awesome tires, but not on mileage.
