Mikevee I am going to have to talk to you about lights pretty soon. I am trying to figure out what I want lol.

 

Haha, don't sweat it man take your time and if you have any questions I'm here. We're also in Corona, so you're more than welcome to check out the lights w/o committing to purchasing.

 

For the Ham guys what is better I was looking at Proforce's ebay source and they sell a good amount of Baofeng's. But what is best? There is the

$40 UV-5r 8Watt Ham Radio Handheld Long Range UHF/VHF Radio with 2 Rechargeable Battery, Portable Radio for Adults with Earpiece, GV-771 Antenna, Programming Cable (3rd Gen)

UV-5r that I believe RL has, the BF-F8, and then I saw a BF-F9. The BF-F9 was about 60 bucks. The UV was middle and just behind price wise was the BF-F8

 

Sounds good. I may have to make a trip out there. Like I said I have thoughts on what I may want to do but dont know or really have funds right now. lol. I have a random question you may know. What light is best for a fog light, a flood or a beam?

 

i'd just go with the baofeng that proforce recommends. he knows his ish & has experience with a lot of HAM/CB/fleshlights

 

more experienced in the fleshlights.

 

The bfb8 is basically the 2nd gen uv5r. Its the upgraded internals. I have no clue why the f8 is like 2 or 3 bucks more than thr 5r it makes no sense. But the 5r is now discontinued. The f9 i dont know about

 

Sounds good guys! It sounds like I maybe pulling the trigger on the BF-F8. And try to get licensed.

 

From what i found the bff9 is also discontinued and was replaced by the bff8+ which is the link i posted

 

Ok, sweet! I now they look the same as the rugged I just hope all of the plugs are that way I can get helmet mounted speakers and mic for riding. Or a headset for wheeling.

And I think I am going to go with a rugged HAM. After looking at their helmet head set kits it is cheaper to but their radio+headset kit then it would be to buy the headset kit and a baofeng radio. Just in case anyone was wondering

I dont think they would work right on Ryan's truck but I think white looks good on trucks like mine

Yea, the Rugged radio is $80 but itself. If you buy it with the Radio+helmet mic kit it comes out to like 40-45. It still a little more than the Baofang's, but at least I still know that everything is perfectly compatible. The only thing is I dont want it to be the rugged blue
