    Manufacturer Part Number: 22204-75010,22250-75020

    Interchange Part Number: AS-TA-95V

    Application:

    MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR-5 PIN
    95 TOYOTA TACOMA 3.4L V6(22204-75010)
    96-97 TOYOTA TACOMA 2.7L

    97-00 TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2.7L

So there does seem to be a few off models, but I still have not found out what the reasoning is, because when I search other databases, the missing options here get filled in.

From my experiance you cant go by the pin count, I got one that fits the female plug on the harness but is too big to fit down the intake tube.
I have a brand new sensor if you want it. My trucks a 98 not sure what year your truck is~ this was a different style than what was in mine.
Its a cheap one I got on ebay. The company gave me a refund and told me to keep it since it was the wrong one.
I ended up buying another $20 ebay sensor and it works fine.
I can post up some pics if you want to see if its the same as yours.

if it doesn't fit yours then it wont fit mine, our sensors are the same, only the housing might have changes in size a few mm

I believe I mentioned this in another post but was unsure where it is.

for the 3.4l v6 they changed 99+ (maybe others as well)

this is a 98 3.4l MAF mounted on "top" of the intake tube.

    maf-sensor-201012-06-midres-copy-jpg_e6697093b0e549da9135d51b3ed042b51398ef40.jpg

    also found a pick with what's labeled as IAT (99 4cyl taco) http://www.airintakesensor.com/iat-sensor-location/ ?

this is also why the K&N kits are for different years due to the configuration and MAF/vacuum hoses.

well in the first picture, that looks like you have to replace that one as an assembly since it doesn't appear to come apart separately.

but in the second picture, on that one you can clearly see the screws to allow just the sensor to be replaced

Mine is a 22250-75010. So I'm still not sure. Would love to hear from someone who's replaced the sensor only on an early '96 and had it work out.

I bought my replacement MAF Sensor only from a local dealer a few years ago cause I felt mine was going bad.

Wasn't terribly expensive, maybe a little more than the cost of a new O2 sensor?

I keep my old one as a backup in my tool area.

I was looking at that thread earlier but didn't link you to it because it was very short and not much to it.

good luck, hope it solves your problem

I better pull mine out to compare before you pop it in the mail

the one you have says it wont fit my truck but the one you couldn't get to fit says it fits my truck, very strange indeed,?????????????

one thing I do notice is searching the 22204-22010 part number keeps showing as for jaguars, lexus, and the Tacoma 3.4L engine from 95-09 so maybe its for a 3.4 and that's why the fit is a little different

Exactly, thats why i bought it... The listing says it fits dang near every tacoma under the sun, even said it fits my 4.7 tundra but my tundra takes the same style as my 98 2.7 taco so...???

I did find that if I decide to buy one, I just as soon go with the oem Toyota one because I have found them averaging $105 so why risk trusting aftermarket on something this important just to save a few dollars. now if oem cost $150 that would be different if there was that much of a price difference.

Oops. Did a bunch of driving today after cleaning my MAF last night. The cleaning made my hesitations and lack of power way worse. I now also have an intermittent and fairly severe surging idle. I'm hoping my replacement gets here before the truck dies.

Good news is, I'm now fairly certain what's been causing my problem, and I think it dates back to a previous MAF cleaning last summer. Hope this thing holds out through the weekend.

I'd just get the part number off the one you have, and order that one. I got a new one for my first gen, and some websites would list that they're all the same. They were definitely not though. Wether they just changed the part number and keep the part the same, I have no idea. Best to be safe and get a Denso with same number. Found mine on EBay cheaper then anywhere else.

you didn't use carb cleaner on it did you? carb cleaner will eat it up and destroy it by removing the sensor coating

Nope. Used CRC MAF cleaner - the stuff everybody says to use. My experience is that it can ruin your MAF. I won't ever use it again.
