    My first post... :)

Just ordered a Black 2015 Tacoma TRD Trail Teams Sport...

I have not seen the truck, but I believe it will be the one for me....

    What can I expect?

    Where can I go?

    Best advice?

I will be reluctant to ride trails for a while.... My brother in law got his Canyon stuck here on my property, I cant imagine this Tacoma would give me an issue..

I have wetland and tree trails... will be fun in time I am sure.

The TRAIL TEAMS Sport Package, available from your Toyota dealer with the TRD Sport Package Double Cab 4x4 V6 features a Roof Rack with Built-in Cross Bars, Front Skid Plate, and signature TRAIL TEAMS Sport Decals.

Your Toyota dealer offers the Tacoma 4x4 V6 with two TRAIL TEAMS packages: The Pro Package on the Access Cab is fitted with content geared to the trail/off-road enthusiast; and the Sport Package includes accessories that increase the function and utility aspects of the Double Cab. Both feature a TRD Cat-back Performance Exhaust, Matte Black Aluminum Side Steps and include signature TRAIL TEAMS Pro Decals.

Congrats! The Trail Teams is a good looking package. The sport configuration comes with the roof rack, skid plate and decals, right? Soo, you'll have the same capability as any stock double cab long box TRD Sport. I quite like mine and it'll go a lot of places out of the box. The stock tires are awful in the mud; bring a friend and a tow strap.

I'm not sure if the Americans have the same Trail Teams packages available so they may not know what you're talking about.

So the stock "All Terrain" tire are not "Mud" tires...

The best tires for this without raising the truck (yet) would be?

I'm pretty sure the stock tires on the Trail Teams Sport are the same as the regular TRD Sport, which are Dueller H/T's. They're nice for a smooth/quiet ride on the highway but terrible in mud. If you ended up with the All Terrain's that come on the TRD Offroad package, they're slightly better but still crap in mud.

From your pics it looks to me like you'll spend a lot of time in forested areas complete with muddy spots. I'd recommend looking at one of the "hybrid" style tires that's half MT and half AT. They get the lugs closer together in the center for better on road performance and less noise, but the outer ones are further apart for better performance in mud. I have Micky Thompson ATZ P3's from that category and I really like them. Duratrac's are very popular here too. Search around for tire reviews and you'll find all you could ever hope for.

    Nice truck, Congrats!

... but need to know what tires that package comes with.

I'm just down the road in Picton.

That's what I have on my truck. They do all that I want them to do, but they are a bit noisy.

Check out the For Sale in Canada section if you need to upgrade from the Dueller's, which in my opinion, are a light passenger tire.

Again, enjoy your new truck! I'll see you around!

    Congrats.

I ordered one in November which should be in by the end of this month.
the Trail Teams package is not sold in the U.S. The items have to be bought separately. Also the other equipment packages carry different names and different equipment. For you guys who are wondering "what the hell" just go to the Toyota Canada site and check it out.:canada:

So, when my dealership went to acquire the TT TRD, it was sold :(

That was 2 weeks ago, but they had a TT in stock but Auto :(

So I finally found a manual double cab TRD sport short box :)

Adding a tonneau cover, skid plate and cat back exhaust

    Agreed, love the Black!

I'll post the pic (hopefully tomorrow), after they have added the mods. :)
