Here is a chart of the mileage thus far from my Tacoma. Started recording at 6000 miles and I now have 35750. No real conclusions from the chart, but it is cool to see. - C

Very cool indeed. How did you get your data?

If you live up north it would make sense it would go down the winter.

We have the exact same truck and I'm sure mine would look identical.

I keep track of my mileage at each and every fill-up. I have a spreadsheet that I kept for my 2007 Tacoma that would have had the entire life of the truck until I sold it at around 111k miles, except for the year I was in Korea and my parents borrowed it. They didn't keep track.

I'm doing the same with my new 2015 and my 2013 Impreza.

    I'll post a chart tomorrow.

I have been tracking for a while with www.fuelly.com

Good tracking, good info. Fun to track there too.

i use a program on my Galaxy S5 (simply called "Mileage") to keep up with the data. It can export a csv file that I can use in Excel. Very convenient given that i always have my phone with me when i fill up.

    Great data!

If you could roughly average out your city vs highway miles, what would the percentages be?

Interesting, I might have to check that out if it gives me all the fields I want.

My system for the past 8 years has been to get a receipt every time I get gas, and write down the odo and trip numbers on it. Then sometime when I'm home on the computer I just put the info into my spreadsheet.

That looks to be almost exactly what I get. Your highest and lowest are also the same.

It would be cool to see when you added mods and make a comparison to Mileage. I'll add a chart from mine in a min.

Good info...locally I'm the only one I know that tracks mileage (phone app, UG, trip gauge). Most folks I know "over" estimate theirs....like claims of 25mpg in a v-8 4x4, etc. Must be a Tacoma thing...keeping track of mileage.

    Here's mine.

The one huge drop that took it down to around 12 MPG was pulling a large and packed U-Haul trailer a few hundred miles. Then the steady increase after that is actually missing data for when I was stationed in Korea and I left my truck with my parents. After that there's a lot of sharp ups and downs because I was filling up/driving a lot. Starting in April 2013 that truck became more of a weekends-only ride, which is why things spread out a bit.

Notice the first year I had it I was able to hit 22 and for a while always stayed above 20. I was never able to maintain that kind of record again unfortunately.
