MAF???

    my truck was running just fine then yesterday morning it stalled out when I got out and went into the store but ran fine to the store! when I cranked back check engine light came on and code showed Mass Airflow Sensor need some help on what I should do before I buy a new sensor ?

    Get some maf cleaner and blast it..don't touch the wire that is in there though. If u don't know the sensor is located right behind the air cleaner, two screws.

    Yep. You have the box/filter set up. Then right behind it is a connector running to the MAF. Undo the two screws and the sensor pulls out. Hold it by the part the wires connect to. Spray the other side with cleaner. Let dry. Reinstall.

    Make sure to let it air dry for about 30 min to make sure everything is dry before reinstalling as well.

    Idk I haven't looked at it yet and it's at the house I'm driving my car right now. I'm at work and won't get to look till Monday

    This is the extracted Mass Airflow Sensor off of my 2001 Tacoma TRD and, as you can see, it is filthy!

    Go grab some MAF cleaner and blast the crap out of it! Good luck!
