Air conditioner issues, need help

So my dads 06 ac is not working we turn it on the light comes on but then it will flash and turn off. Anyone know what the problem might be?

The AC Light flashes when the belt slips or it detects a problem with the AC System. Check the belt.

I have found that the ac in my truck is not blowing cold air, and the light starts to flash in a few seconds of running the ac. the belt seems to be fine. what nexted?

Possibly low on freon, needs to be charged

yeah when it gets low on 'frigerant it'll do that

or ac clutch will cycle quickly...

just get a kit and check pressure, and top it off... betcha it'll be 100%
