I took mine out one at a time and put anti-seize on the threads so they wouldn't ever get stuck in there

I've thought about doing duracoat or powder coating them. It wouldn't scratch off as easy. But if I knew the size I'd probably try to find stainless

Like you said though I'd have to do it 1 at a time

You could take one out and get the size and thread pitch that way

Yeah and there is a fastenall right down the street. I'll do some digging and see if I can get a rough guess of what stainless would cost.

They are pretty custom hope you got deep pockets. Take them out and have them chrome plated probably would be cheaper.

I had one rusting on me pretty badly. I took it out, cleaned it up, applied a light coat of grease on it put it back, and sealed around the washer with roofing sealant.

Those are the Galvanized replacements for the original bolts, not sure when they switched to galvanized. I got one at the dealer about a year ago, I'm thinking it was around $13. Its a PITA to get the old ones out once they rust into place.

The bolt threads can be partially cleaned and lubricated from under the truck, before removal. As I recall it protrudes 1/2" from the frame. The galvy ones are good, but if the coating is compromised, it will begin corroding.

Is there a secret or suggested way to remove slightly rusted ones? Mohave two in my bed and plan on adding tie down rings as soon as it warms up.

I just sanded mine and put on rust stop primer then plasti-dipped them.

The best way I've found to remove rusted bolts Is to lube with PB blaster wait a few hours lightly heat with a heat gun and then use an impact wrench, it rattles and shakes it as it pulls it out. Be careful with the plastic bed though.

Bolt size is M12x1.25x3.75" which is 95.25mm which is almost impossible to find
