Ive been reading all the lift threads for some time now, and have noticed a pattern, alott of people use the ome coils but not the ome shocks. They sub. them for billies. Any particular reason why? just curious here.

Probably because they don't want to pay for a full OME setup. Billies is a less expensive option.

Or guys like running 5100s set at zero and get their lift from one of the longer OME coils like 887s. I think the ride is supposed to be better this way compared to running the 5100s at a higher lift setting.

The 5100 also has a longer stroke so it seems less likely to go clank when the wheel drops into a hole.
