Possible purchase 04' double cab need advice!

Ask for photos of damage so you have someplace to look. Get it checked out and drive it. If it is to become a non dd at some point it could be a good one to use vs a nicer condition vehicle. I'd be more willing to wheel/modify a salvage, than a nice one. I have a one owner 04 DC in immaculate condition that is my dd...if anything major happened to it I'd be devastated. You can still continue to look but with that title, I'd ask for a deal regardless.

FWIW, some insurance companies won't insure a vehicle with a salvage title for obvious reasons. That said, check with your insurance company before any purchase that involves a salvage title.

I wouldn't want a salvage title vehicle. Also wouldn't want one heavily modified by the previous owner. Buy close to stock and mod it yourself. People have a way of cutting corners when doing mods. Like the engine management system for the supercharger. Wrong fuel and timing map...boom.
