I have King oem performance upgrade shocks.
When I first installed them they had 600lb springs and raised the front too much, so I swapped in 500lb coils and added some preload.
I have since installed new leaf springs with 1.5” or more lift, plus added a winch, bumper and armor.
Now I would like to see how the 600lb coils make it sit without preload.

  That's a lot of weight to add. To be honest, I would just install the springs with ~.5-.75'' of preload and call it a day. Let the springs settle with a week a driving and then readjust the preload as needed with the coilovers installed on the truck.

  You can very easily adjust the preload with them installed by just jacking the front end up and using a small ratchet strap to remove a little of the spring force to allow you to move the collar. This is what I've done numerous times.

  I agree with all the above.
  The original springs had about 1/2" of preload.

  I actually have a pretty packed weekend so I'm not sure how much I'll be around the house, but I'll probably have a good amount of time next weekend (the old lady is going out of town). Are your coilovers already off the truck?

  I’m actually out of town next weekend.
  I haven’t removed them, because I want to try changing one of them to see where it sits height wise before changing both of them.
