My oh my even w just one side in I can feel a difference w quick test drive. For frame height reference I’m right at about 22.5” from ground right to between the sway bar frame brackets. This is about the same before w my 5100/885+strut top spacers and new 8112’s of course they have to settle a little bit. Hopefully will drop a half inch or so. Will be perfect I think

 

Is there no adjustable preload collar?

 

I believe the bottom perch is adjustable. You can see it better here.

Ryan, I know you are skeptical of these very expensive “Bilsteins” but I am very confident they are better than any other bolt in coilover I could own especially considering I’ve decided not to try and spring for LT. Will get some nice total chaos LCA at some point down the road but keeping the front end stock travel. These things Frick

 

Not skeptical, just learning about them now through you. I know they make some nice higher end stuff, you just see it a lot less of it than the other big brands. Sorry if I’m coming off like saying you made a mistake or something by going with them vs other brands. Not trying to do that. Excited to see the review after you get a chance to wheel with them

Dude don’t even sweat it. My knowledge of things LT / fancy shock tech is only as deep as “watching terra crew videos” hahahahaha. I was just genuinely giving you a hard time. You’re a great dude but I know not many people have these billies. I totally see where you’re coming from. Can not wait to put them to the test. Especially because every single trail I love requires a really rough entrance trail - it will be great to see how they do & how fast I can go

14” short body Bilstein 7100 w Dakar standard duty, archive HH, poly leaf bushings, superbumps. Will be switching over to icon rxt leafs after I recover from the 8112 purchase.

 

Both sides in. Cannot wait to absolutely thrash on these coilovers. Test drive went great, big change on road and the little derps that i did. Will get an alignment soon just to be sure I don’t wear out these ko2’s too quick and I’m pretty sure the front has a tad bit of positive camber but it also needs to settle a bit.

How are the 8112’s treating you?

 

Just wonderful. Only got rowdy on one trip home from work on a dirt field so far so I can’t really provide any real off-road feedback but they are a night and day difference to my previous setup in every way shape and form. Even doing little curb hops, it’s nice to feel how it takes impacts and comes off little drops. Also I’m at 22” from ground to frame rails at the crumble zone after they settled a little bit. Happy with that ride height. CV’s look like they have stock angle (no angle) and the truck rides great especially with the 240lbs of quick Crete I have in the bed lmao

 

I’ll ship them for the right price, lmk if anyone needs 4 of these SPIDERTRAX hub centric Toyota 1.25” wheel spacers $200 obo). That’s anti seize you see on the back side of the spacers. They are in like new shape otherwise.
