‘What size tires are ya Runnin’

Hey guys what size tires do you run and why?? CMC or not. Why did ya choose that size?? I’ve got my suspension parts and I’ve been on the fence about what size tires to run. Don’t really care about a CMC, pinch weld, & trimming. I’m used to it. I know i didn’t include 16” in the poll but I’m going with 17s so i thought I’d keep it simple..

255/80/17 no need for cutting etc etc etc

 

285/75r16, no CMC with proper wheel offset.

 

Same size as a 285/70/17 if I’m not mistaken.

I am running a 285/75r16 and want to go to a 285/75r17. I would go with that size. More ground clearance is the name of the game.

 

I went with the full OME lift and used 275/70/17r ST Maxx. No chance you can rub even when wheeling hard.

 

I've been running 285/75/17 (33.8 inch, aka 34s) for a couple years now. No complaints for mild off-road and mostly on-road driving, but if I can do it again, I will go with 315/70/17 (34.4) or 35x12.5 for more ground clearance.... If you don't want to do a CMC, just stick to 285/70/17 (32.7)

 

I run the stock TRD Offroad wheels (16") and love my Cooper ST Maxx in 255/85/16. Not too much but gives the truck an aggressive stance.

 

Pizza cutter 255s. Same clearance, less wear and tear on the drivetrain.
