I had to order mine as well. The dealer located a white one with the Baja wheels but the other dealer didn’t want to trade. One of my top priorities was to ditch the steel wheels. Ideally I would have got the 6 spoke wheels off a 4Runner but I never found a set. For sure the bucket seats are a nice feature. Too bad for the guys who bought an 09 SR5. If you run Premium gas you’ll notice a small increase in power and the better mileage will more than make up for the increased cost at the pump.

I got Toyota to upgrade me to the bajas; the steel wheels have some problems. Any speed over 60 mph and the steel wheels would have a vibration. The guy at Toyota told me the way steel wheels are made is two halves are welded together. This is a problem he said, because the rim will never be 100% even. Where the alloy rims are made as a whole unit, not two halves welded together.

That is weird. It almost looks like yours is glossy, like it was painted that way. Did you get your truck used? Nice wheels by the way.

I'm guessing that whoever had it before you had the flares painted that way. If it had come from the factory with black flares, they probably would just have been the unpainted plastic like the non SR5/TRD/Sport packaged trucks.

As far as the no power windows/locks thing, yeah I was kind of disappointed that there wasn't anyway I could get them, even by special ordering like I did.

yeah, i went to toyota yesterday and had a talk with them. what i learned is this...

i can get a base or sr5 tacoma RC. i can get it with a v6 and 4x4... but if i want an auto... I'll have to wait about a year...

but a base regular cab, 4.0,auto,4x4, would cost me bout 22,000 new...

    so he says...

The salesman you talked to does not know what he is talking about. You can not get the v6 in the RC. Regualr cab 4x4 and pre runners only come in 5 speed 4cyl.

actually, according to this sales managers fancy sheet. you can order a v6 RC pretty easy... its the auto that takes forever to get...

    by his words he's sold 2 V6's this year...and a handful of regular RC's...

    hmm...
