Nice! Lucky to find one with buckets. I've seen exactly one for sale in the last six months with buckets. I sent an e-mail to Toyota to bring them back!

Actually, having had a 1987 w/ bench seat, I knew I wanted buckets. I had to use the "500 mile" radius search on autotrader and drove 400 miles to get it. Well worth it though, found it 2 years newer, 11k fewer miles, and $2K cheaper than a 2006 100 miles away. The 2006 was a CPO (certified pre owned) and was pretty clean, but I think that I was better off going w/ the 2008 w/ 48K miles. I did have to put on new tires, but they ought to last a while based on my 70 mile interstate round trip M-F.

And... it needs a driver's side front center cap for the wheel and the salesperson did fib to me (Chevrolet store) and told me gas pedal/floor mat recall was completed. Getting that done tomorrow local.

You will have to lift and spacers for 285"s but 265"s look just as good on an unlifted truck...

These are some sick trucks! I love the single cabs! Here's a pic of my old one. I miss it the most of any vehicle I've owned :(

And another story about a Tacoma saving a Jeep on the trail. Distributer Cap on the Jeep got soaked so it was a mess, which lead to the battery dying on the trail which lead to battery swap from my truck. Then I lead the way out, with no battery luckily I didn't stall!!!

    Happy Mudding!

I almost think I have your truck :). Did you take all the aftermarket parts off before selling/trading?

Hey guys i just got my 08 tacoma 2wd prerunner sr5 and i wanna put some mods on. [IMG]
    I wanna get:
    -Black rims 16 inch http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/wheels.php?item=SideBiter
-a 3 inch lift (3 in the front and the back)
-then level the front up with a leveling kit
    -tint

are the 16 inch rims the same as stock sizes?? would i have any problems with that?
I also need some help with the lift. I've heard it reduces gas milage... Is that true?[IMG] But i dont know what lift to get so help me out guys.[IMG]

When you lift the truck choose a lift that will level the truck at the same time. You don't have to spend a lot of money to do that. Lifting the truck raises the profile of the truck which will make you lose some MPG. The difference might be around 1 MPG. Once you add a lift, wheels, and bigger tires you will start to see more of a loss.

when I bought my 2006 regular cab, the only difference was the grill, rear bumper and the bucket seats. The sr5 had chrome grill and bumper with bucket seats and the standard 4x4 had the flat black grill and bumper with a bench seat.
