So I’ve owned my truck since May 2020. Bought it brand new .. recently the blind spot monitor stoped working and displays this image .. what could be some causes? Fuse? It also says “check charging system” with the battery icon …

probably dirt/grime/salt on the sensors. try wiping them clean, or better yet wash the whole truck.

    This.

Only time mine malfunctioned was during a snow storm with ice stuck on the front grill.

Silly question where are the sensors? They sure are not on the rear bumper unless they are paint coloured lol

i believe they are inside the ends of the bumper. I don't think you can see them.

    Oh look, another mod....
When it's negative 1 degree outside, I'm surprised more alerts/errors weren't thrown. Drive safe!

Actually I’ll correct myself. It was PCS that was unavailable for me. Never seen the BSM malfunction.

But it’s still most likely the dirt and grime and ice from your weather.

A lot of people used to report that error if enough snow or mud got packed on the underside of the rear bumper.

That would be my first look. Wash out the underside and let it dry.

Don't appreciate your language. Not regular folks fault what politicians force on us. We were imperial (US) measurements a few years ago.

2016 here...mine went brown once after a snowy slushy excursion down the highway...cleared up when it thawed out.

About 6 months later, went brown for no reason, ain't worked since. I've power washed up there...no avail. I just turned it off and put my head on a swivel.

Reminds me, I should turn it on again and see if it still barks or is resolved, been a couple years

    Enough for now
Mine stopped working last month after a heavy rain. Annoying but it is what it is, makes me triple double check when merging so not the worst thing. I guess it's time for a new high clearance bumper now that the sensors don't work

Are you still under bumper to bumper warranty?
