Day 2 started the construction part, which was building a knee wall and running new water lines, removing the ultra large mirror over the sinks, adding a new power outlet (which had to be moved further over to the right) for a to-be-added makeup vanity for the wife, and relocating an (new/better) exhaust fan.

Day 3 was adding the base layer for waterproofing, replacing the crappy bathroom lights, and replacing the crappy pot lights with much brighter LED replacements, and starting on the luxury plank vinyl flooring,

Here is the new shower floor and tiles going in, and part of the bead board with chair rail.

Day 5: putting in the rest of the tile (minus the corner shelves on both sides) and the flooring. Also adding the quarter round and beadboard along the half wall.

All the tiling is finally done with the grout floated in, flooring is in, and all the beadboard is up. Tomorrow I’ll be painting the wall that will be behind the toilet, which the plumber will install on Monday when he also hooked up the shower and the handle. The glass door will be measured on Monday too.

I started painting the bead board. I sanded it north-south before painting, but after I did two coats I wasn’t happy with how rough the bead board still was. I re-sanded all of it going east-west and north-south and it turned out a lot better. I’m going to repaint another coat after using a tack cloth and vacuuming everything really well, and then put a coat of polycrilic on. Then we get to move onto the fun stuff of painting the ceiling and walls, and hanging the mirrors and the towel hooks. Then all we are waiting on is the glass door and for the top of the knee wall.

I ordered this shift knob before Christmas from a guy on Etsy, and USPS finally delivered it after being stuck in the Richmond processing center for two weeks. I’m pretty sure it’s guaranteed to add 5+ hp. The fit is perfect!

Glass door and panel are installed in the master bathroom remodel. Still have to do some painting (once my wife figures out what color she wants :frusty:) and then I can install the mirrors and change tosome nicer light bulbs and put in the globes and voila!!

Here is my wife’s method for picking out paint color. Now if she would just pick one!!

Well, it’s done. I’m sure there are a few things that will need to be cleaned up and buttoned up, but other than that it’s done

I finally got around to installing the dash cam I bought months ago. It’s a Rexing V1, and cost about $50 from Amazon. It fits nicely to where I can’t see it behind the rear view mirror. My son recently got into a very minor traffic accident and we used the dash cam to see what happened. This spurred me too get off my ass and install the one on the truck, but still need to install the one on my wife’s car. It was very easy to install with only one power cable to the 12 V outlet.
