If you financed, they might owe you interest on the warranty amount also.

You need to talk to gm at dealership. This could've been done in error or he could have an employee embezzling $ by cancelling and taking the refunds. So it may not be the dealership screwing you.

If he and dealership are reputable, they will want to make this right as bad as you want it corrected. A simple phone call will tell you this quickly. If they balk, id have an attorney call them and let them know you arent messing around.

Very True - One may be surprised how often employees embezzle from their employers. I've seen it first hand, twice in my life. The first just over a million dollars and the second time north of $700k. It would be in OP and the dealers best interest to sit down with the *general manager, president, or even owner depending on site of dealer and present your facts in a straight forward manner. Chances are they will want to correct the situation, and if not, you'll have even more ammo for Corporate.

My EX GF was a sales girl at Lexus in Miami. She told me stories of Sales people pocketing money from down payments and "dealer fees". People there did other things as well. Let's just say the FBI raided them 2-3 times, maybe more.

What doesn't make sense to me, is he called the Administrator to the plan that he purchased. They verified that they did have a policy but it was showing cancelled. Regardless if it was active/expired/cancelled if you are the name insured they have the ability to speak to you in regards to the disposition of your policy or any claims filed on that policy. I work in the business and have seen this situation in a similar fashion before.

Since this was a dealer direct business then the cancellations are processed through the dealership as well. As blackout has said, start with your selling dealer first. I would start with the finance manager as they are typically the point of contact between the dealer level and the account executive of the service plan you purchased. They'll also be more knowledgeable about the plans and how they operate.

It did. Once I said lawyer I got my extended warranty plan for free and my money back... at this point I’m not sure I have much left under warranty. Oh well it was the principal

I had an exact opposite experience with my dealer. I had a 2016 Taco that I got rid of for a 2018 Tundra. On the Taco, I had purchased the platinum warranty. I still had a lot of time left on that warranty, so the dealer credited me for the remaining time and knocked $1600 off the price of a platinum warranty for the Tundra. I wasn't expecting that to happen, I figured the extra stuff I had purchased for the Taco would be a wash, so this was a nice surprise.

Glad it worked out.....so now you are fully covered with the extended warranty, right ?

Good dealer. You are fortunate to be working with one like that.

Not gonna lie, didn’t read the whole thing. BUT, sometime preconceived bias creates narrative, seems to be what happened here. I’m going to assume one thing, and that is you financed the truck.
IF you did, they money wouldn’t go to you, you didn’t pay for it. The bank did. The money would be applied to the principal of the loan. The law mandates it, the banks have a vested interest in checking it, and they do.

If it is fraud on the dealer part, it would have to go pretty high up and a 100% intentional scheme and you would not be alone.
