Is anyone running 0.75" spacers? The smallest spacers I have seen anyone run is 1.25". However, I am interested in the 0.75" spacers, to keep my track width narrower. It seems like to me that the 0.75" spacers will be too short for the factory lugs. Would I need to chop the factory lugs shorter? It seems like chopping shorter would be unsafe. If I did, how hard is it to replace them with new ones, to restore it to factory length?

Here's the back story as to why I am asking... I am wanting to install some lift spindles on my 3rd Gen Tacoma SR5. I am still running the 16" aluminum wheels, which I'd like to try keeping for now. I know my BS is too deep on the factory wheels, to fit the spindles. So, I was considering using some 1.25" wheel spacers on the front, to provide enough clearance. However, the spindles already add 0.75" increased track width, which when combined with the 1.25" spacer will increase each side by 2.0". I'm afraid that much of an increase will be too wide, and will look a little goofy on the truck. If I went that route, I would also add 2.0" spacers to the rear, to make the front and rear even. What should I do?

I have run them before with no problem, had them on for about a year before i got new rims. They require no mod at all just bolt on and your good to go.

Really? Did any part of the factory lug or nut extend past the spacer?

I'm using 0.75" Bora spacers. Your rim will need to have the negative spaces in between or you'll have to shorten your factory lugs to make them work. On a note worth mentioning- while on a cross country trip (Cali->NY) my front wheel bearing went. The nuts that came with the wheel spacer would NOT come off. They are 19mm and I managed to round them off with a 6 point 19mm socket.. Ended up cutting the spacer in half with a grinder to remove it to replace the bearing. I contacted motorsport tech and told them what I did to the spacer. (not thinking they would warranty it because it only failed when it met the grinder.) They asked for a pic of the damaged spacer so I sent them one. the next day I had a new one sent to me at no cost. That's great customer service and standing behind a product!
