I read recently that Toyota released a TSB stating that 0-W20 is good to go in the 4.0 V6. With this in mond, does anybody know if they endorse a 10K oil change interval as well similar to the 4.0 4Runner?

any good full synth like mobil 1 is good for 10,000 miles

all you need to worry about is your engine doesn't eat much oil by 10,000 miles, so
check dipstick at 5000 and determine roughly 'how much oil does this pig eat'

what TSB are you referring to? Dont use 0w-20 the engine is designed for Xw-30 always has been always will be.... now the dual vvti 1gr 4.0L v6 found in the later model fj's and 4 runners runs 0w-20 if im not mistaken. but that is a slightly different motor.

I personally use 0w-30 as it offers the widest range of protection.
