P0171 is a Lean condition. I am not sure what you 67-75 numbers mean in regards to a reading.

Sensor 2 is an O2 sensor and won't have anything to do with that code. I still don't known what the reading are for on the scangage2. Does it tell you in the manual what they mean?

Okay, on the scangauge we have the following "gauges" set-up: A/F ratio, Short Term Fuel trim, Long Term Fuel trim, and O2 sensor. We noticed one thing while on a test run, We noticed that the O2 sensor's reading were bobbing up and down the most, the other gauge's reading's were fairly steady. The O2 sensor we are monitoring pretty much for giggles, one more thing that could help us. The fuel air ratio at idle was around 14. 3 -14.53, Long term fuel trim, 27, short term, -8, O2 sensor, 65-75. Thanks again for any and all help.

I got this same code on my 2000 toyota tacoma and it ended up being a vacuum leak between air cleaner and throttle body. As soon as I fixed leak everything has been fine. But the most common thing when you get a p0171 is a bad maf sensor. It can either be dirty and needs to be cleaned or you need to replace the whole sensor. Good luck.

There can be several causes to this code, bad AFR sensor, exhaust leak(s), and of course a bad CAT.

Well we replaced the O2 sensor( the rear most one) and have clocked 60ish some miles on her with it like that, no lights. Hopefully that will be the end of my problems. During those miles there were at least 6-7 engine "cycles" (on, run, off, repeat). Love driving this truck, two days till i'm able todrive it on my own. haha, thanks for all the help i have gotten.:D

Did you replace the torque converter seal and drain the trans before installing the engine?
