So i have my mind set on building my own set of retrofit lights, but i don't even know where to start. I'm going to be buying everything from the retrofit source, but i don't know what will fit and what wont fit. I'm going for blacked out housing, color changing halos and demon eyes. High beam and low beam. So if anyone who has built or know about this subject can throw out some ideas or tips that would be great. Also I'm sorry if there's a post about this, Ive been looking into this since i picked up my truck but still couldn't find the right posts to help me out.
    What I know already:
    - Morimoto D2s
    - 35w Ballast
    - Motocontrol H4/9003 Harness
    - 5500k Bulbs
Id appreciate all the help on which products to add to my cart. Also ideas/ suggestions are appreciated. Pics would help too! thanks

Keep in mind that having colors other than white or amber on the front of your car is illegal, though it is up to the discretion of the cop whether they pull you over or not. My brother has gotten pulled over at least 4 times in 4 years with his color changing halos.

To black out the housings yourself, I would use black plastidip. Use some glossifier if you want a shiny black rather than matte black.

For halos and demon eyes, you have a choice between Morimoto and Diode Dynamics. Lightwerkz has several Youtube videos comparing the two companies, so you can watch those to make a choice. I feel that Diode Dynamics has the superior switchback option for halos, but both are almost equivalent as far as RGB is concerned. I would buy a couple of add-a-fuse to run power for your halos and demon eyes.

I'm not really sure you wanna use plastidip to paint your internals.. I'm guessing, but I'd imagine it would outgas. Maybe not. I'm not sure. But that sounds kinda iffy to me. I would say high temp paint. It gets hot in there...
